Donald Trump’s oldest sister Maryanne Trump Barry has died at the age of 86.

The former federal appeals court judge was found dead in her Upper East Side, Manhattan, apartment at 4am Monday morning.

Her cause of death is not yet known and the New York Medical Examiner has launched an investigation.

Trump and Maryanne confided in each other and were close as he expanded his real estate empire and ran for president.

But cracks appeared in their relationship when Trump’s niece Mary released audio of Maryanne saying he has ‘no principles’ and ‘you can’t trust him’.

The president’s older sister dismissed Trump’s intelligence saying ‘he doesn’t read’ and cited some of his only accomplishments as his ‘five bankruptcies’.

However, ABC reported the pair were repairing their relationship and met at Trump’s Bedminster golf course this summer.

Barry was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in 1999.

She retired in 2019 over an investigation into whether she had any involvement in alleged fraudulent tax and financial transactions by the Trump family.

The probe was closed without conclusion when she stepped down.

Three of the former president’s four siblings have now died. His youngest brother Robert died in August 2020 at 71 years old and Fred Trump Jr. died of a heart attack in 1981 at the age of 42.

Barry was selected by President Ronald Reagan to serve on the Federal District Court in New Jersey in 1983, reportedly after the intervention of Donald Trump’s then-personal lawyer and fixer Roy Cohn.

She was close to her brother for decades, and was one of the few people whose advice he sought.

In the recordings released in 2020 Barry said: ‘Donald’s out for Donald. His goddamned tweet and lying, oh my God.

‘I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. He has no principles. None. None.’

Trump was reportedly furious and deeply hurt by the comments at the time.
