Manchester United are finally set for a rejig as top player faces sack from the squad. National Daily gathered that the Red Devils are ready to pay off Casemiro to quit Old Trafford. The report claims that United are considering paying off the remainder of the Brazilian’s contract in order to offload him.

Casemiro may have played his last game for United

The midfielder joined United in a £60million deal from Real Madrid just 18 months ago, signing a four-year contract worth around £300,000-a-week.

Casemiro was superb during his first season at the club but he’s been plagued by injury and poor form this season.

Meanwhile, according to claim from Fichajes, Cristiano Ronaldo isurging his Saudi Pro League Al-Nassr to sign Casemiro this month. Ronaldo and Casemiro were team-mates at both Real Madrid and Manchester United. It is further understood that Al-Nassr are likely to study the chances of signing the holding midfielder.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team hope to have full control of football operations within the next three weeks, with the Premier League yet to ratify the British billionaire’s 25% stake in the club.

The team have wasted no time in getting to grips with life at Old Trafford, and they appointed a new CEO in the form of Omar Berrada on Saturday night.

Casemiro, who is out of contract in 2026 and has the option of a further year, could see his deal paid off by the club.

While that would cost United around £20m, Casemiro would be off the books and his departure would significantly decrease the club’s wage bill.

There has been interest in Casemiro from Saudi Arabia and Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan.

But those parties are unwilling to put up a fee for the former Real Madrid star.
