Member representing Amuwo-Odofin constituency 2, Hon. David Doherty has charged youths to imbue themselves with required technological competence to fit in properly in a technologically driven world.
Doherty who was the Special Guest of Honour at the gathering, gave the charge at a one-day seminar for youngsters of Amuwo-Odofin, organized by a group Flip-To-Tech in partnership with FCMB in commemoration of the International Youth Day.
He urged the numerous youths gathered at the august event held in the heart of the constituency, to do all they can to leverage on the opportunity availed them and make the most of it.
According to Doherty, the trends all over the world remains a pointer to the fact that virtually nothing could be done without a little touch of technology in our world today.
“Just like what the bible says, that from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh this speak volumes of what capacity your heart has so you need fill it with good things like the one you are being taught today.

“It is a known fact now that from your bedroom it is possible for you to make transactions, complete official tasks, make friends across the globe, place orders and more all thanks to technology. So, the opportunity you have here is limitless in terms of all you get to benefit thereafter.
“As the theme for this year celebration goes- Green Skill for Youths, I urge you to increase capacity in the right direction.” Doherty said.
Speaking earlier Mr. Omoniyi Iyanda, Head CSR and Sustainability, FCMB urge the youngsters to ensure they make good use of the availed capacity building so as to enjoy, much more soon.
Mr. Adetuwase Adenle the CEO FLIP-TO-TECH group however, cited the need for more well-meaning individuals to join the fray and help groom a better future for the society through the initiative adding that, “when you build the youth you build a nation, so I call on many public-spirited individuals like our lawmaker, and others to partner with us in moving the initiative a step further.”
