Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as JANDOR, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a significant shift in the political landscape of Lagos State.
JANDOR, who was the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, announced his departure during a press conference in Ikeja on Monday.
Addressing journalists, JANDOR revealed that his resignation from the party was not a solitary decision but one made alongside his loyal supporters spread across the 20 local government areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Lagos.
He emphasized that his political journey would continue, though he remained tight-lipped about his next steps.

“This decision was taken after careful consultation with my supporters and political associates across the state. I am grateful for the time spent in the PDP, but it is time to move forward. My next political direction will be made known in due course,” he stated.
JANDOR, a media entrepreneur and the convener of the Lagos4Lagos movement, had been a strong force in the opposition party, leading efforts to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last gubernatorial election.
His exit from the PDP raises speculations about his next political alignment, with analysts suggesting he could either join another party or form a new political structure.
While he did not disclose his immediate plans, sources within his camp suggest consultations are ongoing, and an official announcement may come within the next few months.
His resignation adds to the wave of political realignments in Lagos, as parties prepare for future elections. Political observers will be watching closely to see where JANDOR’s next move takes him and how it will reshape the political dynamics in the state.
