In a season filled with high expectations, losing a player of Alisson’s caliber is a heavy blow for Liverpool. His leadership and skill between the posts have been pivotal in the team’s successes. With critical matches ahead, the pressure will be on Kelleher to deliver and maintain the squad’s competitive edge in both domestic and European competitions.

Liverpool has suffered a significant setback with goalkeeper Alisson Becker expected to be out for six weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old Brazilian international sustained the injury during last weekend’s Premier League win against Crystal Palace, exiting the match with 11 minutes remaining.

According to the PA news agency, tests reveal Alisson is unlikely to return until after next month’s international break, with a potential comeback not expected until the trip to Southampton on November 24.

This news is particularly challenging for manager Arne Slot, as the team faces crucial fixtures against Chelsea and Arsenal this month, along with upcoming Champions League matches against RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.

Caoimhin Kelleher, who missed the Palace match due to illness, is anticipated to step in, having previously covered for Alisson during a lengthy absence last season.
