English Premier League giants Chelsea are weighing up a summer move for Guinea international and Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, as a backup option to long-term target Victor Osimhen.

The Blues have been heavily linked with Osimhen since last summer, but the Napoli forward’s substantial release clause has proven to be a stumbling block.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Chelsea may once again be priced out of a deal.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray, is expected to leave the Turkish side at the end of the season.

Napoli, his parent club, are reportedly willing to part ways with the 26-year-old for around €75 million.

Despite strong interest, including from Galatasaray and Premier League rivals, recent reports suggest Osimhen has agreed to join Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are eyeing Guirassy, who has impressed during a standout season with Borussia Dortmund.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the London club are preparing a $75 million bid to secure the striker’s services in a bid to address their persistent issues in front of goal.

Guirassy has been in exceptional form, netting 28 goals and contributing five assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.

He currently leads the scoring charts in the UEFA Champions League and has been a bright spot in an otherwise inconsistent Dortmund side under Nico Kovac.

By comparison, Osimhen has scored 29 goals and provided six assists in just 34 games for Galatasaray, helping them close in on a record 25th Super Lig title.

With his future still uncertain, Chelsea may turn their focus fully toward Guirassy as a more accessible and in-form alternative.
