The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has issued a directive requiring all licensees to update their contact information through the Commission’s eServices platform by January 9, 2025. The move is aimed at ensuring that the NCC maintains accurate, up-to-date records for effective communication and regulatory oversight in the telecommunications sector.
The directive is in line with the provisions of the Licensing Regulations 2019, which stipulate that licensees must report any changes to their contact details within seven days of occurrence.
The NCC emphasized that this initiative reflects its commitment to transparency and accountability within the telecommunications industry. Accurate and current contact information is vital for enabling efficient oversight and seamless engagement with stakeholders.
Licensees are required to update or provide the following essential details:
- Physical Address: This includes the full address of the principal place of business, along with its postcode, geographic coordinates, and nearby landmarks for easy identification.
- Mailing Address: If different from the physical address, licensees must provide a separate mailing address for correspondence.
- Email Addresses and Telephone Numbers: Active email addresses and phone numbers are crucial for official communication between the NCC and licensees.
- Details of Contact Personnel: Licensees must include the names, roles, and contact information of personnel responsible for regulatory communication with the NCC.
To update their contact details, licensees are instructed to visit the NCC’s eServices platform at https://eservices.ncc.gov.ng. Adherence to this directive is essential for facilitating effective regulatory processes and promoting transparency in the sector.

Compliance and Sanctions
The NCC has stressed the importance of compliance, warning that failure to provide accurate physical addresses could result in sanctions. Licensees who submit addresses that cannot be located will face regulatory penalties. This measure is aimed at ensuring that telecom entities remain accessible and transparent for regulatory purposes.
Implications for Licensees
This announcement serves as a reminder to licensees about the critical importance of keeping accurate records with the NCC. In addition to avoiding sanctions, compliance with this directive reinforces the reputation of licensees as responsible operators within the telecommunications space.
By taking this step, the NCC continues to uphold its mission of ensuring a well-regulated, innovative, and efficient telecommunications industry that benefits stakeholders and consumers across Nigeria.
Licensees are urged to act promptly to avoid last-minute rushes and ensure they remain in good standing with the Commission.
