Pastor Chris Oyakhilome lauds Obasanjo’s leadership qualities at 87

President of Loveworld Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has extolled the virtues of former Nigerian President Olusugun Obasanjo as he celebrates his 87^th birthday on Tuesday.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome who delivered a glowing tribute at the Thanksgiving Service held  at The Chapel of Christ The Glorious King, CCPL, Abeokuta lauded Obasanjo for his national leadership and achievements.

He urged the audience to consider all the ways God had blessed them and to keep their faith strong.

In his wise and encouraging words, he emphasised the importance of the nation’s unity, peace, and progress.

Earlier in his sermon, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome lauded Obasanjo for his national leadership and achievements, urging the audience to consider all the ways God had blessed them and to keep their faith strong.

He also enjoins Christians to continually offer praise to God in whatever situation.

“He wants you to know the truth. Whether or not you feel something. Because if you believe in Jesus, if you have Jesus Christ, then you have eternal life. Because eternal life is in Jesus Christ says I want you to know that you have it.

“Now if you have eternal life, what will it do for you? That is the life of God manifested in you. It’ll keep you healthy every day. Did you know divine health is what you have in Christ. There are many people who want to get healed, but you can have divine health. That’s God’s plan.

“If you have eternal life, you can have divine health, divine strengths. So I thank God for every one of you today. I thank God because He loves you. He loves you, and His Word is given to you. And you have an understanding, to be able to receive His Word in truth and in faith and be blessed with it,” he added.

In his remark, Obasanjo described Pastor Chris Oyakhilome as a role model of success that every religious leader in the country must emulate.

“Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, I thank God for your life. The other day, some youths came to me and they were talking about success. And I said to them, we must first of all agree on the definition of success. So, one of them said you are the president of Nigeria, and I replied that to me that is not success.

“Another one said but you were also a former Head of State before being elected President, will yoo take that as success? I said no. To me success is making the place where you’re and the situation where you found yourself better than you found it. That is success.

“Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, You have made everything that you touched better than you found it. So, you can rightly claim, and if you don’t claimit, I will claim it for you. You’re a model of success in the service to humanity and success in the service to God.

“And may God continue to increase your success in the service to humanity and the service to God. During the Lent season which we are in, many pastors ordinarily want to stay with their flock, but you accepted my invitation and we really appreciate you and thank you for honoring us,” he added.
