A 33-year-old nursing mum, Comfort Olalere Tinubu has been arrested in connection with the death of her husband, Olusegun Tinubu, 39.
The National Daily gathered that the unfortunate incident occurred at about 10 PM on Wednesday, October 30, at their home in Adegbayi area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the couple who got married about three years ago had two children from the marriage.
A family source who pleaded anonymity, said: “I got the call around 10:03 pm and I learnt that they fought and she stabbed him but that he was rushed to the hospital. About 30 mins later, I was called again that my younger brother is dead.

When we went to the police station to report the situation, the officers interogated her about what had transpired. She explained that her deceased husband had claimed that she had locked the door of their bedroom since around 7 in the morning when she left their home. She mentioned that she did not return until approximately 7 in the evening, which was a long time to be away.
She went on to describe how this situation escalated into an argument between them. According to her, the conflict had started when her late husband came into the room and slapped her while she was lying down and breastfeeding their baby. This aggressive action from him was what sparked the fight, which ultimately led to the events that resulted to stabbing him to death.
According to the source, another relative of the husband who is living with the couple was said to have interfere in the fight and separated them.
“After settling the fight, he went back to his room asking the husband to sleep in the living room. But, not done it was gathered that Comfort went to attack the husband where he was lying down in the sitting room and stabbed him at the back. The husband was said to have screamed for help and slumped and later confirmed dead by the time he got to the hospital.
The matter was initially reported at Gbagi Police station but the case was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan,” he narrated.
