An Assistant Superintendent of Police, Vincent Oke is facing an investigative panel set up by the Enugu state Commissioner of Police over an alleged sexual assault on a 17-year old girl in the state.

He said the CP ordered the state criminal intelligence and investigation department to carry out a thorough probe into the allegation.

The police spokesperson said the alleged sexual assault occurred in March 2022, but the family of the 17-year-old recently brought up the matter.

According to the police, the cleric asked the victim to come to the church for “special prayer”.
