‘Home Alone’ star Ratray in rape scandal, says he’s impotent
‘Home Alone’ star Devin Ratray has allegedly raped a woman in New York, but he has yet to be charged since he denied.
The 45-year-old was said to have attacked Lisa Smith who came alongside his brother and another friend for a sleep over at his Manhattan apartment in 2017.
“I remember waking up and I couldn’t move. I couldn’t really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and I could feel what was happening. I knew that the other two people were gone and I was still on the couch,” she told CNN.
According to her, Ratray sexually assaulted her for what seemed like “an eternity”, before leaving her on the sofa.
CNN reported Smith and Ratray had been friends for more than a decade before the alleged incident, on September 21, 2017.
Her case is coming up now following the decision of the police not to arrest Rataray initially, saying they thought Smith was not ready to press charges.
The accused told the news giant h didn’t do it because he is impotent.
A woman accused Ratray of domestic violence after the Smith’s incident. He pleaded not guilty, and released on $25, 000bail bond.
Following the incident, Smith filed a report and a NYPD officer interviewed her in November, 2017.
She sent over the clothes that she was wearing on the night for DNA testing, she told CNN, with a spokesperson from the Manhattan Distrct Attorney’s Office adding that they are “in touch” with her.
“The Manhattan DA’s Office takes sexual assault very seriously, and our door is always open,” they added in a statement to Metro.co.uk.
“Prosecutors and counselors from our Office’s Sex Crimes Unit are in touch with this survivor.”
Ratray rose to fame following his role as Buzz McCallister in ‘Home Alone’ when he was a kid.
