President Donald Trump has signed a sweeping new Executive Order aimed at intensifying federal efforts to combat the alarming rise in anti-Semitic incidents on American campuses and streets following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel.

Building upon Executive Order 13899, the new directive mandates an aggressive, all-encompassing federal response.

Leaders of every executive department and agency must review and report on all legal tools at their disposal to fight anti-Semitism within 60 days. This includes both criminal and civil enforcement measures.

The Department of Justice has been tasked with taking immediate action to uphold law and order, prevent pro-Hamas vandalism and intimidation, and investigate cases of anti-Jewish hate crimes.

Particular focus will be placed on leftist-led campus movements and organizations accused of fostering anti-Semitic sentiments.

In addition, the Order calls for the removal of any non-citizen found guilty of engaging in hate-based crimes. “We will not tolerate those who come to our country and engage in acts of intimidation and violence against Jewish Americans,” President Trump declared.

Since the October 7 terrorist attacks in Israel, there has been a surge of anti-Semitic incidents across American college campuses and public spaces.

Protesters, accused of supporting Hamas, have reportedly obstructed Jewish students from attending classes, defaced monuments, and even disrupted places of worship.

The House of Representatives released a report in December 2024 condemning the Biden administration for its failure to curb these rising incidents. The report described the inaction as “astounding” and a failure to protect the civil rights of Jewish Americans, particularly students.

Trump’s Track Record on Defending Israel and Jewish Americans

During his first term, President Trump made historic moves in support of Israel and Jewish communities, including:

Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem: Despite years of unfulfilled promises by previous administrations, President Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and relocated the American embassy from Tel Aviv.

Trump brokered peace agreements between Israel and multiple Arab nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco, marking a significant step toward Middle Eastern stability.

Now, as he eyes a second term, President Trump has pledged to continue prioritizing the protection of Jewish Americans.

Enhanced Civil Rights Protections: “With your vote, I will be your defender, your protector, and the best friend Jewish Americans have ever had in the White House,” Trump stated.

Strict Law Enforcement Against Hate Crimes: The Attorney General will be directed to aggressively prosecute those responsible for acts of violence, vandalism, and intimidation against Jewish citizens.

Deportation of Hamas Sympathizers: Non-citizens found participating in pro-jihadist demonstrations will face immediate deportation. Additionally, student visas for individuals expressing support for terrorist organizations will be revoked.

This Executive Order underscores President Trump’s commitment to law and order while sending a strong message that anti-Semitic threats and violence will not be tolerated in the United States.
