The Nigeria Police Force in its continuous resolute fight against cybercrime and cyber-related offences, has arrested two suspects, Chinonso Eze and Victory Ebomuche, in connection with a case involving criminal conspiracy, identity theft, and computer-related fraud.
The suspects, aged 18 and 24 years, respectively, were arrested at their residence in Agua Marina Estate, Apo, FCT Abuja.
This arrest is a testament to the culmination of exhaustive investigative efforts and reflects our staunch commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism in combating cybercrime.
The operation exposed a complex web of cybercriminal activities, primarily revolving around romance scams and fraudulent online investments.

“As part of our ongoing efforts, we have identified potential victims associated with the suspects and are actively working to mitigate both immediate and remote cyber threats.
The Inspector General of Police while commending the Director and operatives of the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center for the significant successes, underscored the critical importance of vigilance and caution when engaging in online interactions.
He urged the global cyber community to verify the authenticity of online acquaintances, exercise discretion in financial engagements, and promptly report any suspicious online activity to the authorities.
