Coffin of Queen Elizabeth on display In London, multitude gather for last respect
The remains of the demised Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom (U.K.) is being displayed in London on Wednesday, making multitude of people to assemble to pay their last respect to the late constitutional monarch before she is finally laid to rest.
Many that are gathered are prepared for long hours wait before having a glance of the Queen’s corpse. It is a busy time for the British Metropolitan police to control the crowd and ensure law and order.
The head of the London Police force, Mark Rowley, was cited to have said in the preparations for the Wednesday public display: “It’s a massive challenge for the Metropolitan Police and for me, personally, but we have been preparing for many, many years.”
King Charles III is leading the procession of the coffin of his mother Queen Elizabeth II through London on Wednesday.
