Osun 2026: APC urges Gov 5 front-line gov aspirants to embrace peace
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have urged the five front-line aspirants for the ticket of the party for the governorship election in Osun to embrace peace within the party.
One of the APC leaders in the state, Iyiola Omisore, at a joint meeting on Tuesday, called for peace among the governorship aspirants and all party members in the buildup to the 2026 election.

Meanwhile, the five front-line aspirants for Osun APC governorship ticket include:
Bola Oyebamiji (Osun West), Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Lokoja
Dotun Babayemi (Osun West), formerly a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State; defected to APC after he lost the PDP governorship ticket to Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Senator Mudashiru Hussein (Osun West), represented Osun West Senatorial District in the Senate
Senator Ajibola Bashiru (Osun Central), APC National Secretary.
Senator Babajide Omoworare (Osun East), former Senior Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters
The party anticipates more aspirants to show interest in the governorship election as the buildup to 2026 garner momentum in Osun State.
The APC aspirants would first battle for the party ticket to confront incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
