When Alabi was first contacted, he solicited for some time to confirm and call back, and on his return call confirmed the news.

The demise of Oba Olakulehin is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, ascended the throne on July 12, 2024, following his coronation by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, serving as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The deceased succeeded the late Oba (Dr) Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, who joined his ancestors in 2024, two years after he ascended the throne.
His family members were reportedly seen in the early hours of Monday moving out the personal belongings of the late Olubadan from the palace at Oke Aremo in Ibadan.
