Chelsea started their 2022/23 Premier League campaign with a win against Everton at Goodison Park and played a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last night.

The game that was full of drama as Chelsea new signing Kalidou Koulibaly open scoring in the 19 minutes of the game, Reece James scored the second goal of the game in the 77 minutes as both sides shared the points, as the game ended in a draw.

Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel were involve in a bust up after the end of the game, as Anthony Taylor sent off both managers by showing them a red card. The German tactician was furious as regards the officiating of the English referee in the clash.

The referee saw nothing on a foul on Kai Havertz, Marc Cucurella and Richarlison blocking Edouard Mendy’s view before Peirrre-Emile Hojbjerg scored Tottenham Hotspur first goal in the contest.

All Chelsea new signing started the game as Marc Cucurella Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling did well in the clash at Stamford Bridge, the Senegalese scored Chelsea’s first goal, while Raheem Sterling gave an assist to Reece James as he scored Chelsea second goal, as Marc Cucurella was good in his distribution and his pace.

The Blues dominated possession in most of the half and they expected the game to end in their favour, but Harry Kane glancing header level the scoreline for the North London side.

Most of the outcome of highly contested games are usually determined by the manner of officiating and VAR officials.

Chelsea fans are unhappy in the manner in which Anthony Taylor officiated the clash against their North London rivals. The German goffer was not happy and made some comments about the English referee which the Football Association is currently investigating.

Anthony Taylor is an English referee born in 1978, the first match he officiated which involves Chelsea was against Norwich City in the Premier League in 2012.

The English referee has officiated 45 matches that involves Chelsea in all competitions. Chelsea have won 22 games, drawing 11 and lost 13 matches which the English referee has officiated.

Chelsea have played 35 Premier League games officiated by Taylor winning 17 ,drawing 11 and lost 7 between 2012 and 2022.

The Blues have also played 5 matches officiated by Taylor in the FA Cup, winning 3 and lost 2 and they have also played 4 games in the League Cup and winning 2 and lost 2 in all.
