Police spokesman reacts to Shan George’s stance on the dismissal of police officers who misbehave
Police spokesman has responded to Shan George’s statement about the dismissal of police officers who misbehave.
Shan George said that it is not a good idea to be dismissing police officers when they misbehave. She said you can either demote them, suspend them or reduce their salaries. She added that it is not right to dismiss them and put them back into society as jobless people.
The Police Spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi replied to Shan George’s stance on the dismissal of police officers who misbehave. He said that the policemen that were dismissed are not fit to be in the Nigerian Police Force. The Police Spokesman said that NPF is not a social club or a cooperative society but an establishment guided by the Constitution and other extant laws. He said that it takes someone who has gone to the Police Act to criticize the decisions of the Nigerian Police Force management team on disciplinary matters.
