Manchester United early team news against Arsenal in the English Premier League (EPL) has emerged. The Red Devils are definitely set for a blockbuster fixture against the Gunners on Sunday.

United had squeezed out six points from a possible nine over the opening three rounds of the campaign. Erik ten Hag’s side most recently defeated Nottingham Forest 3-2 last weekend. The team now prepare to face a Gunners side that finished one place above us in the 2022/23 table.

Ten Hag and his boys looked in good spirits from Tuesday’s training photos from Carrington. Sadly, the latest news from the camp is that there is a freshly-confirmed absentee for the clash.

Raphael Varane will not play any part at the Emirates against Arsenal on Sunday. The centre-back saw only the first half action in United’s victory against Forest last Saturday due to injury. And it has now emerged that the Frenchman is set for a few weeks on the sidelines.

Ten Hag may provide a further update on Varane in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon. The United boss is also expected to address the availability of new signing Rasmus Hojlund.

The Dane is yet to make his United debut since his arrival from Atalanta this summer. Hojlund is nursing a small issue he picked up in pre-season with Atlanta. Meanwhile, there was a reported positive update on the injury last Friday. Ten Hag confirmed that the young striker has been able to join in team training and is nearly ready to be in our matchday squad for the first time.

Ten Hag will also provide latest update on other injured players. Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount and Luke Shaw are on treatment table. They are all expected to miss United’s clash against Arsenal this weekend.

Harry Maguire had recovered from a knock to make the matchday squad last Saturday. Meanwhile, Amad, Tom Heaton and Kobbie Mainoo have been sidelined so far this term.
