Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State during the festive holidays visited Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State at his country-home, Sampou.
Governor Diri in a statement disclosed that they both agreed to collaborate on the development of Bayelsa and Rivers states in the South-South zone.

I received my dear brother, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir. Siminalayi Fubara, and his entourage today in my country-home, Sampou, on a New Year brotherly visit.

It was a fruitful meeting where we both agreed to collaborate on the development of Bayelsa and Rivers States.
I reminded my colleague of the need to bring back the BRACED Commission to foster our regional integration in the South-South region.
On the political issues in Rivers State, I encouraged my brother Governor to pursue peace and remain focus on his vision for the people of the State.
