The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, has praised the Commissioner of Police in Osun, Mohammed Abba, for maintaining a peaceful and secure environment during the state’s local government election.

According to the press, the election took place on Saturday in Osun.

Egbetokun’s commendation came during a visit to the Police Command in Osogbo, Osun, on Tuesday.

The visit was aimed at supervising and gaining a firsthand view of the security situation following the recently conducted election.

In a statement issued by CSP Yemisi Opalola, the Police Spokesperson in Osun, the IGP, who was represented by Ari Muhammed Ali, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in charge of Operations, praised the officers for their dedication and hard work in ensuring peace and order during the election week.

“The IGP also commended the Osun Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership and crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the state throughout the election period,” Opalola said.

Egbetokun expressed his gratitude to the officers for their tireless efforts and concluded by thanking them for their unwavering support of the Police Force and the nation.
