Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis insists only one club in European football possess the funds required to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.
The eccentric De Laurentiis, however, insists that only Paris Saint-Germain, who may need to replace Kylian Mbappe during the close season, can afford to buy the former Lille striker.
“The only club that could afford Victor Osimhen is Paris Saint-Germain,’ he told Mediaset. If Nasser Al Khelaifi wants to send in a bid around €200m… we wait and we see what happens.”
Speaking 24 hours earlier at Napoli’s kit launch, De Laurentiis admitted it would take an ‘indecent’ offer to land one of world football’s most prolific forwards.
“Osimhen will absolutely wear this new jersey,” he said.

“If a more than indecent offer were to come in, then we’d get over it and would be able to find other talents. Don’t worry, here there is the Azzurri passion that enflames our hearts.’
Osimhen netted 31 times last season during a superb campaign with Napoli which put him on the radar of some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Manchester United have shortlisted him as a potential option with signing a new striker a top priority for Erik ten Hag this summer while Chelsea are also interested in bringing him to Stamford Bridge.
Bayern Munich have also weighed up a move as they themselves look to bring in a new long-term option up front.
Napoli, who have confirmed Rudi Garcia as their new heads coach with Luciano Spalletti opting to step away from football for a year following his Scudetto success last season, are keen to resist the overtures of Europe’s top clubs. But are prepared to listen to astronomical offers.
