‘They tried to kill me over Baba Ijesha’

Comedienne, Princess has disclosed that some people have attempted to kill her for coming out against actor Olanrewaju James, nicknamed Baba Ijesha, who sexually assaulted her teenage foster daughter.

She made this revelation in an interview with Chude Jideonwo on his #WithChude show. The interview was published on Thursday.

On Thursday, Baba Ijesha was given a prison term for sexually assaulting a minor.

When asked if she regretted coming forward about the assault, Princess replied, “Currently, I don’t, but I did for the first two to three weeks.

“They tried to kill me because I had a reward placed on my head. I found out that some persons I respected were the ones pushing him.”

“You are watching me everyday trying to apologize and then after a month, he’s just like…,” she stated in reference to how the issue ended up in court.

That mentality is what brought Nigeria to where it is now.

We changed from being virtuous to evil to malicious.

It evolved into a mindset of “Shebi, I’ve begged her?”

“…This truth must be told and you now see people you have idolized for years, that you respected, now open their mouth to justify it. It’s sickening.”
