Turkey maintains ties with Ukraine, Russia – Defense Minister

Turkey will continue its principled foreign policy and maintain positive relations with both Ukraine and Russia, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Tuesday.

“We are following the developments with sadness and concern, we are saddened by the loss of life. We maintain exclusively positive relations with Ukraine and Russia.

“ Our president has clearly outlined and defined our relationship. We are currently following developments closely.

“Turkey will continue to pursue its foreign policy,” Akar said.
