Two yet to be identified women are feared trapped under the rubbles of a three-storey building that collapsed in Lagos on Friday.
According to sources, the building started collapsing from its underground before it caved in.
Confirming the collapse, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said two people have been rescued while search and rescue operations was ongoing
It was gathered that the building situated at Oyesonuga Street, off Oye Roundabout, along Isolo Road, Mushin collapsed around noon on Friday.
The structure, which was listed between four buildings of several flats, was said to have been used as a night club.
Community members were said to have rescued an adult and a child before the arrival of emergency workers at the scene.
Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu said the collapsed structure was adjoining a main building in need of urgent attention.

He said: “On arrival at the scene of the incident, it was discovered that a three storey building had collapsed. Further investigation revealed that the collapsed building was an adjoining building to another three storey building..
“Two people who were trapped inside the building have been rescued and treated, However, we were informed two females that are occupant of the building are still missing. Search and Rescue operation is ongoing
“There are visible cracks on the remaining standing building that need urgent attention. Building has been cordoned off and evacuated “
