Newcastle topple fourth placed Chelsea on Premier League table, beat Tottenham 2-1
Newcastle on Sunday toppled Chelsea on the Premier League table to secure a place in the top four after a 2-1 defeat of Tottenham Spurs.
Newcastle’s goals came through Callum Wilson and Miguel Almiron.
Harry Kane scored for Tottenham to reduce the goal tally. Tottenham is placed third on the league table and have two points ahead of Newcastle.
Newcastle have now pushed Chelsea down to the fifth position, with Manchester United railing behind.
Chelsea played 1-1 with Manchester United on Sunday, thus, failing to consolidate their position on the top four, now taken over by Newcastle which have joined Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham on the top four placement.
