Abule Ado explosion burns Houses, damages vehicles
The gas pipeline explosion at the Abule-Ado, adjacent to Trade Fair, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos State, in Sunday burnt many houses and damaged vehicles in the neighbourhood of the accident.
The massive blast that rocked the Abule-Ado area stimulated massive inferno that destroyed nearby buildings, including a school.
Report indicated that plumes of smoke were rising into the sky in the inferno.
The director-general of LASEMA, Dr. Femi Osanyintolu, had confirmed that the pipeline had earlier been vandalized by unknown persons.
The Lagos State Fire Service acknowledged that there are buildings on fire in Ado Soba, Abule-Ado, and Amuwo-Odo.
