Another multi-story building comes down in Lagos, traps many
No fewer than six people have been buried another storey building that collapse in Sand Field area of Lekki, Lagos, on the weekend.
The State Territorial Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, said emergency responders are already there.
“A seven-storey building collapsed at Sand field bus stop, Lekki. Six people are said to be trapped and responders on ground,” he said.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, also said the collapsed building was under construction.
“No injury sustained. However, about six people are reported to be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed structure.
He added that an excavator will be required for the rescue of the trapped victims.
