Another sad day for Nigerian Army as 21 soldiers perish
No fewer than 21 army recruits have died in an accident after their vehicle plunged in water along the Gwaram/basirka road in Jigawa State.
Police spokesman man ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the soldiers were on their way to Gombe when the accident happened.
Nigeria has been losing its military men to series of air, land mishaps, and job hazard in the course o fighting insurgents and bandits across the north.
About a dozen military officers, including then COAS Ibrahim Attahiru died in a military aircrash in Kaduna months ago.
