How Biafra separatists, Black Marine, took over Abana, dispersed Cameroonian Govt gathering
Militants perceived to be members of the Black Marine, the military wing of the separatist Biafra Nations League (BnL) operating in the Bakassi Peninsula and the Gulf of Guinea, on Sunday invaded Abana in Bakassi Peninsula, where they were said to have taken over the community shooting sporadically, and dispersed public gathering organised by the government of Cameroon.
A report disclosed that the Cameroonian government sent a special team from Yaounde who were in Bakassi to speak to residents of Abana, but militants suddenly arrived in three speed boats, and scattered the crowd, forcing people to flee for safety as the gathering was dispersed during the shooting.
It was gathered that a Cameroon media platform, CAN, had earlier published how the Cameroonian military confronted BnL members who were bringing down Cameroonian flag in Abana, few days before the invasion of Abana by the militants. The report disclosed that two BnL members were “brutally injured” in the military operations by Cameroon.
