Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists he could still do a job in the Premier League.

Ibrahimovic, 37, is still showcasing his finishing ability with LA Galaxy, and scored twice in the derby draw with LAFC this weekend.

But he believes he could still perform in England – and has delivered a ‘come and get me’ message to old club Manchester United.

The Swedish superstar – who once famously said: “I’m a lion, not a human” – took his season’s tally to 20 and then gave United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer something to think about as he tries to sort out his misfiring squad.

National Daily gathered that Ibrahimovic fancies a return to Old Trafford: “The Lion still roars, yes. I could still play easily in the Premier League. If United need me, I’m here. But right now Galaxy have me and that’s what I’m concentrating on.

“I did my job in Europe. I enjoyed it. I have 33 trophies that I brought with me and hopefully I can win something here and then we will see where I finish.”

Ibrahimovic gained cult status at United with 29 goals in 53 appearances during a 20-month stay. The 37-year-old signed on with a great headed goal to win the Community Shield on his United debut and went on to play a pivotal role in the club’s League Cup and Europa League victories.

Then the man who has won titles in four different countries moved to California to take the States by storm.

Ibrahimovic went on: “I keep an eye on how United are doing.

“I look out for them. I saw the last game against Crystal Palace and if they had scored their penalty (Marcus Rashford missed from the spot) it would have been a different game.”

Ibra said he is not shocked that former United team-mate Wayne Rooney is packing his bags in the New Year to join Derby after a brief spell with DC United.

“No I’m not surprised that he’s going back” he said. “He came, he tried, and he did his best. He’s shown patience but that patience has finished.
