Buhari has given commitment on free, fair elections – Atiku
The presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari, personally, gave him his commitment to conducting free and fair elections in 2023.
Atiku in a media interaction with a foreign publication, Financial Times (FT) of London, stated: “I’ve gotten a commitment from the President personally, because I sat down with him twice, that even if it is the only legacy he will leave, he will make sure he conducts free, fair and credible polls.”
Atiku reiterated his promise to form a government of national unity when elected president, including engaging Peter obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, in the PDP government.
