Casualties as Boko Haram bombs Maiduguri ahead of Buhari visits
Five persons have been confirmed dead from bomb explosions Boko Haram likely triggered off ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari visit to Borno.
According to sources, a lady and two young boys died in the explosion that went off in the Ajilari area of Maiduguri.
Another went off at a mosque in Umaru Shehu Hospital but did not affect anybody, and another rocked the 1,000 Housing and 707 Housing Estates within the Maiduguri metropolis. It tore through buildings alone here.
These incidents happened in areas close to the Maiduguri airport and the Nigerian Air Force Base where the President landed ahead of his visit.
Buhari is commissioning projects inside the University of Maiduguri and across the state capital.
