Church member organises pastor’s kidnap; accomplice says ransom well spent
A 59-year-old man has explained how a source within a church organized, with four other suspects, the kidnap of their pastor in May.
Pastor Otamayomi Ogedengbe of a Deeper Life Bible Church branch in Ondo was snatched during a vigil in May.
He spent some days in captivity until his ransom arrived.
According to Ayo Samuel, who spoke in a viral video while being interrogated by policemen, it was a member of the church, Dayo Titus, who organised the kidnapping.
“I don’t know the name of the street but I know the house. It belongs to Bunmi’s father. My duty was to watch over the victim,” he said.
“I was given N1m. I bought a motorcycle but it was stolen after one month. The moey was well spent.”
