Edo proposes alternative energy source, airport in new development masterplans
The Edo State government has unveiled ambitious new development masterplans that include the establishment of an alternative energy source and the construction of an airport.
These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to drive economic growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
The alternative energy project aims to reduce the state’s reliance on traditional power sources, ensuring a more sustainable and reliable energy supply.
In addition to the energy project, the government has proposed the construction of a new airport, which is anticipated to boost the state’s connectivity, tourism, and trade.
The airport will serve as a key hub for both domestic and international flights, facilitating easier access to Edo State and its surrounding regions.
Governor Godwin Obaseki, while presenting the masterplans, emphasized that these projects are crucial for positioning Edo as a leading economic hub in Nigeria.
