Ekiti health workers hail Oyebanji’s health policies, back re-election

In a strong show of appreciation, health workers in Ekiti state on Tuesday collectively lauded Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his administration’s transformative impact on the state’s health sector.

Professionals spanning the entire healthcare spectrum, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, midwives, laboratory scientists, community health officers, and environmental health professionals, gathered to express their gratitude for what they described as “people-centred policies” that have revitalised the sector.

The health workers highlighted significant improvements in infrastructure across various healthcare facilities, the consistent and timely payment of salaries, and overall better working conditions as key achievements under Governor Oyebanji’s leadership.

These developments, they noted, have instilled a renewed sense of dignity and professionalism within their ranks.

The demonstration of support culminated in a march from Fajuyi Pavilion to the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti.

There, a delegation presented Governor Oyebanji with a specially designed plaque titled “Health Sector Appreciates His Excellency Biodun Oyebanji.” During the presentation, the health professionals unequivocally declared their support for his re-election, citing the visible and positive changes witnessed across all levels of healthcare in the state.

“The Oyebanji administration has truly brought visible improvement to all levels of healthcare in Ekiti State,” stated a spokesperson for the group.

“From better infrastructure to timely payment of salaries and improved working conditions, there is a renewed sense of dignity in our profession, and we are incredibly grateful for the Governor’s commitment to our welfare and the health of our citizens.”

The commendation from the state’s health workforce underscores the perceived positive impact of the current administration’s policies on a crucial public service sector. It also serves as a significant boost for Governor Oyebanji as political activities begin to pick up ahead of future elections in the state.
