Ex-Man Utd star receives 2-match ban for violent conduct
Former Manchester United star Angel Di Maria has received a two-match ban for violent conduct, so will not be available when Juventus take on Milan, while Roma coach who is also Red Devils former manager, Jose Mourinho is suspended against his old club Inter.
The Argentine forward joined Juventus on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer but he is yet to hit the ground running in the Italian Serie A. The former Real Madrid star was sent off in Juventus 1-0 loss against newly-promoted side Monza over the weekend.
The former Benfica forward lost his cool five minutes before half-time against Monza, as he elbowed Izzo amid a brief physical scrap. Di Maria was accused of serious unsportsmanlike conduct in the referee’s report relating to his sending off, then he will be forced to sit out two games.
Aside the AC Milan tie on October 8 at the San Siro, the Juventus forward will miss a crunch tie with Bologna.
