Fanfare as Gov. Ganduje meets future son-in-law from southwest
Eleven governors flew into Kano on Friday to witness the introduction ceremony between Fatima, the daughter Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, and son of Oyo Gov. Abiola Ajimobi.
Ganduje and Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari went to the Mallam Aminu International Airport very early in the day welcome the would-be-groom, Idris, his family members, and other dignitaries.
Jigawa State Governor, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar; his Lagos State counterpart, Akinwumi Ambode; and their Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), were among the dignitaries that graced the occasion.
The city was in high jinks as traditional and cultural dancers came to entertain the guests.
The host and the visiting governors, later paid homage to the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, and other notable elders within the state.
