FG alerts Nigerians in South Africa of imminent fresh xenophobic attacks
The Federal Government on Monday alerted Nigerians resident in South Africa of imminent fresh xenophobic attacks against them and other foreigners in South Africa.
The Nigerian government issued the warning after a group in South Africa issued a threat.
The Nigerian High Commission in South Africa, in a statement on Monday, pointed out recent declarations of a group, the Operation Dudula, issuing threats to attack foreigners resident in South Africa.
The group in recent video, revealed plan to rise against foreign nationals in South Africa from Thursday, September 2, 2022.
The High Commission in South Africa urged Nigerians to be security conscious, vigilant and exercise caution in their daily activities following the threats of attack.
The group in their threat, disclosed plan to attack foreign business owners, shops and undocumented foreign nationals.
