Fintiri swears in 23 commissioners
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, on Thursday, swore in 23 commissioners, and assigned portfolios to the respective commissioners.
The Governor at the inauguration, stated: “you must eschew corruption and corrupt tendencies.
“I must caution early on that the call that you just answered is a call to service; it is not a call to riches.”

“To all commissioners sworn in today: You have been chosen from amongst the multitude of talented individuals that Adamawa State abundantly possesses.
“Therefore, your commitment and fairness in discharging your duties are paramount. It is crucial to avoid corruption and any corrupt tendencies.
“I must emphasize that the call you have answered is a call to serve, not a pursuit of wealth.
“If your sole aspiration is riches, you are in the wrong position, and I strongly advise you to voluntarily step down before I ship you out.”
The Governor added, “I urge all of you to come on board with the desirable winning attitude, ingenuity and deep insight in handling every situation.”
