The 7th edition of the Global Day of Prayer with Pastor Chris, a 24 hour plus prayer session began yesterday in earnest with a global audience of people participating from 205 countries of the world, a total of 463 TV Stations and 1025 Radio Stations transmitting live and saturating the airwaves with the divine presence of God.

The Global Day of Prayer has always been a time of tremendous changes as the president of Loveworld, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSC DD, leads the global audience in a time of prayer, worship, and the word. Through this live prayer session, God’s people around the world have joined forces to make a phenomenal and tangible impact in the nations of the world, taking a stand to enforce righteousness and dispel the works of darkness in their cities and in their nations.

To set the tone for the first segment of prayers,this September edition began with a prayer session led by the CEO of Loveworld, Pastor Deola Phillips, Pastor Kay Adesina and Rev Tom Amenkhienan. Other Senior Pastors on set were Pastor TT Edun, Pastor Yemisi Kudehinbu, Pastor Emeka, and Pastor Lanre Alabi. After which, the man of God, Pastor Chris shared deep insights from several scriptures, materials and documentaries that further deepen our understanding of the word and get God’s people ready to pray.

1. Pray for all men declaring that this is the day of salvation and grace -2 Cor 6:1-2, 2 Cor 4:4. Acts 26:18

2. Pray that the Lord of the Harvest will send forth labourers into the harvest fields of leaders of nations and governments. – Luke 10:1-2.

3. Pray that the Lordlord will change the mind of leaders from foolishness and deception to truth. – Proverbs 21:1

4. Pray to overthrow the work of ungodly and unrighteous men who fill the world with violence, poverty and death and prevent men from experiencing the goodness of the Lord.

He emphasized the need for the church of Jesus to arise in unity and pray ceaselessly, “we have been led to continue to take a stand and insist on the prevalence of God’s will in the nations”, he added. This is the day of the church and through these divinely orchestrated programs, the Lord is building His church and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it.
