INEC releases final list of 36 presidential candidates, 1100 senatorial candidates, others for 2023 elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday released the final list of candidates for the 2023 general elections. The list comprised of 36 presidential candidates, 1100 senatorial candidates, and thousands of candidates for the House of Representatives, governorship, and house of assembly elections.
The senatorial candidates are contesting for the 109 seats in the Senate of the National Assembly, while 360 members of the House of Representatives are to be elected.
Governorship election will hold on 28 states, as 8 states have different dates for their isolated governorship elections.
Elections will, however, hold into the various house of assembly of the 36 states of the federation.
