Just in: Three killed as explosion rocks Kogi
Report from Kogi state indicates that an explosion has occurred and killed three persons in Okene, on a day President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to visit.
During the visit, President Buhari is meant to commission projects executed by Governor Yahaya Bello in parts of the state.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning according to Channels Television, at the Oyinoyi’s Palace in Okene Local Government Area, North-central district, where the incumbent governor hails from.
Though the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, however, security operatives have arrived at the scene.
The state government was yet to make any comment on the latest development as at the time of filing this report.
