Lagos Assembly confirms Sanwo-Olu nominee as new Auditor-General
The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s nominee for the office of Auditor-General Adewuyi Adewale.
Adewale was cleared having been screened by selected members of the house led by Hon Noheem Adams, Hon Setonji David, Hon Nureni Akinsanya and others.
The Speaker Rt.Hon. Mudashiru Obasa explained why the nominee was accorded the privileged of being screen before the plenary.

It will be recalled that Governor Sanwo-Olu forwarded the nominee’s name on July 13, 2023 to fulfill the constitutional proviso required before a nominee could confirmed for any public office.
After a voice vote the nominee was confirmed as the new Auditor-General of Lagos State.
The Clerk Barrister Olalekan Onafeko was later directed to write to inform governor of the official confirmation of his nominee.
