NBC N2.5n Fraud: Philanthropist suspected of collaboration slumps, dies
The chairman of a digital broadcasting company accused of fronting for NBC former MD Kawu Modibbo has died.
Lucky Omoluwa, chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, slumped and died at National Hospital, Abuja on Tuesday–just about the time ICPC was to begin his prosecuton.
The ICPC said Omoluwa, Kawu,and Pinnacle Communications embezzled N2.5bn meant for digital switchover.
The alleged collaborators used Pinnacle Communications to carry out the suspicious transactions.
Neither the hospital nor the ICPC has given any official position on the sudden death of Omoluwa.
Information and Culture Minister Lai Mohammed was initially fingered as part of the collaborators, too.
