NRC debunks shutdown of train station after herdsmen attack in Edo
The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) on Sunday denied reports on the shutdown of the Ekehen Train Station in Igbuebem Local Government Area, Edo State, after attack by herdsmen on passengers traveling on the Itakpe-Warri corridor last Saturday.
NRC Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria, had in a media interaction said that the Ekehen Train Station was not shut, adding that train services was not suspended either, contrary to media reports.
The MD maintained that the attack in Edo State did not disrupt rail operations.
