Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has spoken out regarding the controversy surrounding the police’s invitation of Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

In a statement on his social media account on X, Obi expressed concern about how the police handled the invitation, emphasizing the importance of caution and adherence to due process.

The former Governor of Anambra State cautioned against using authoritarian methods to suppress labor as a potential opposition force, underscoring the need to respect the rule of law and the principles of evidence.
