Presidency 2023: Yerima visits Buhari, declares for APC ticket
Former Governor Ahmed Yerima of Zamfara State, Senator Sani Yerima, visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday at the State House, Abuja, perhaps, to seek clearance, and thereafter, declared for the 2023 presidential race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Yerima, after the meeting with President Buhari on Friday, joined other aspirants jostling for the APC presidential ticket.
The former Zamfara State governor from northwest Nigeria emphasized that the President cleared him to contest for the presidential ticket of the APC in the preparations for the 2023 general elections.
Yerima insisted that he is participating in the presidential election within the provisions of the Nigerian constitution, as amended. He promised to fight insecurity, poverty, and ignorance across the country.
