The Minister for State for Labour, Employment, and Productivity by the name Festus Keyamo has taken to his verified Twitter handle to give a reply to those who have the opinion that Lagos State has always been developed as a capital city.

Replying to such critics, Festus Keyamo put forth the question of why a place like Bar Beach which later became the Eko Atlantic City (an idea conceived by Bola Tinubu’s administration) wasn’t developed since they claimed Lagos has always been developed as a capital city.

In his words, “When Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the birth of Eko Atlantic City as part of the permanent solution to the perennial problem of the Bar Beach. For those who say Lagos had always been developed as a capital city, how come the Bar Beach issue remained intractable until this time?”
