Sam Omatseye reacts to David Hundeyin’s allegation against him
Popular Nigerian Journalist, Sam Omatseye has finally reacted to the viral statement made against him by investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin a few days ago.
Few days ago, Sam Omatseye wrote an article about the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for the forthcoming presidential election, Mr. Peter Obi.
Peter Obi’s supporters found Omatseye’s article offensive. The content of the article went viral that David Hundeyin spoke about it during an interview on Arise News.
During the interview, David Hundeyin said that he could recall that in 2014, during one of the political rallies, Sam Omatseye was among those who rooted against President Muhammadu Buhari. He also said that he saw Sam Omatseye carrying a goat with the inscription “this is Jonathan”.
Owing to the above statement, many Nigerians have been wondering whether or not David Hundeyin was right about who actually went to the rally with the said goat. The picture of the said goat has also gone viral.
However, Sam Omatseye has denied ever engaging in such public display in such manner. While speaking on TVC News today, Sam Omatseye said that he is not the person on the picture.
Speaking further, he said he has forgiven David Hundeyin. He also advised him to be mindful of what he says as he has been a journalist even before many other journalists were born.
According to him, he was very angry at first and wanted to consult his lawyer, but he decided to let it go. However, he warned that he won’t take such act next time.
